In 1729, John Wesley assumed leadership of a small group of Oxford University students who strived to be methodical about their personal holiness. They were jeeringly referred to as the Holy Club or methodists. 296 years later, the church now known as the United Methodist Church is the spiritual home of approximately 80 million people. As the church has evolved, it is as much a story of American history as it is of the church.
We invite you to join us to learn more about the past, present, and future of the United Methodist Church in a presentation by Jeffrey Cedarfield of Copper Hill UMC that will be held in the large conference room of the East Granby Public Library on Wed 10/15/25 from 630-800pm. All are welcome!
